Ingredients
- 2.000 slices sourdough bread
- 1.000 tbsp mayonnaise
- 0.250 tsp salt
- 0.250 tsp black pepper
- 1.000 oz mozzarella cheese
- 1.000 oz sharp cheddar cheese
- 0.500 cup mashed potatoes
- 2.000 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Assemble your grilled cheese sandwich by spreading mayonnaise on one slice of sourdough bread
- Season with salt and pepper
- Layer mozzarella and sharp cheddar cheese on the bread
- Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly on the outside of the sandwich, pushing them into all the cracks and crevices to create an even coat
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat (higher than usual grilled cheese temperature)
- Cook the sandwich in the pan until the mashed potato crust is crispy and golden brown on both sides
